Numeracy Focus: All

Sally Burke, a primary teacher, shares her experience of facilitating Number Talks with her Foundation class. The children use and develop their receptive and expressive language skills to explain, explore and build their understanding of foundational mathematics concepts.

Number Talks offer educators an opportunity for formative assessment through encouraging children to share their numeracy understandings verbally.
