Heart Rate Data
An inspiring resource for learning numeracy
Collect, display, compare and analyse a class’s heart rate data
Numeracy Focus: Exploring chance and data
In this activity students collect information on their heart rate and look at the data across the class.
They must consider what information needs to be recorded and ways the data can be displayed graphically.
Students analyse the data, searching for correlations between the mean, median and mode, and make judgements based on their statistical calculations.
