The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives Computer App is an enhanced offline version of the American Science Foundation (NSF) supported National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM) for K-12 mathematics instruction, developed at Utah State University.

To run the resources on this site free of charge, requires the use of Java. The resource is commercially available for a small one-off cost which, if purchased, does not require the use of Java.

Activities on the site are organised under the topics of Number and Operations; Algebra; Geometry; Measurement; and Data Analysis and Probability, in bands of B-L2; L3-L5; L6-L8 and L9-L12.

The NLVM is a resource from which teachers may freely draw to enrich their mathematics classrooms and facilitate students’ active engagement.

Activities mostly use manipulatives to help students visualise relationships and applications in a virtual computer environment.
